Scrum Framework Core Components

Roles

Artifacts

Scrum Workflow Cycle

Product Backlog Refinement (Ongoing)

Sprint Planning (Start of each Sprint)

• Time-boxed: Usually 2-4 hours for a 2-week sprint
• Two parts:

Sprint Execution (2-4 weeks typically)

• Team works on Sprint Backlog items

  • What did I do yesterday?
  • What will I do today?
  • Are there any impediments?

Sprint Review (End of Sprint)

• Time-boxed: Usually 1-2 hours for a 2-week sprint
• Team demonstrates completed work to stakeholders
• Product Owner inspects the increment
• Feedback is collected for future sprints

Sprint Retrospective (After Review)

• Time-boxed: Usually 1-2 hours for a 2-week sprint
• Team reflects on:
  • What went well?
  • What could be improved?
  • Action items for next sprint
